What documentation is needed to ship CITES animal to Canada?
- USDA health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. The original must be sent with the animal (keep a copy for your records) Click APHIS7001-USDAHealth.pdf to download USDA health form.
- 3 copies of a commercial invoice in the box with the animal.
- Printed pictures of the animal included in the box, as well as digital photographs emailed to support@reptilesexpress.com.
- Photographs of any distinguishing markings if the reptile is not micro-chipped.
MASTER CITES PERMIT (recommended):
- This permit is for the breeders who ship a large quantity of one or two types of species.
- The fee is $200 and is good for 3 years.
- Click form 3-200-85.pdf to download Master Cites application. It takes 30 days for approval.
- Once your Masters Cites application has been approved, you must obtain a single use permit for each export. The fee is $5. Click form 3-200-74 to download permit. These permits are valid for 6 months.
- The original single use permit must be included in the box with the animal. Please keep a copy for your records.
CITES SINGLE USE PERMIT:
- This permit is for those who are only shipping one or two animals a year to Canada.
- The cost is $100. Click form 3-200-24.pdf to download Cites Permit.
- The original single use permit must be included in the box with the animal. Please keep a copy for your records.
